CALL OUT

CONJURING CREATIVITY .  ART & THE ESOTERIC #3
INHABITING ESOTERIC ECOLOGIES

We are thrilled to announce that Conjuring Creativity: Art & the Esoteric #3
‘Inhabiting Esoteric Ecologies’ will take place in London on the 15th & 16th of March 2025

For this, the final edition of the conference, we would like to reach out to any artists, astrologers, musicians, researchers, practitioners, scholars and writers who have an invested interest in the overlapping worlds of Esotericism,  Art and Ecology.

Previously during Conjuring Creativity #2 We invited you to consider esoteric and occult practices in relation to and beyond the anthropocene.

This time we are now turning our attention fully to the entangled relationship between magick and the more-than-human.
We wish to specifically explore how esoteric, occult and mystical strategies are being utilised within and alongside contemporary art, to recognise, repair and re-member our innate relationships; to the stars, planets, spirits, pan-species kin and unseen companions who inform and inhabit our terrestriality.

How do we recognise, acknowledge and creatively cultivate our relationship with the many more-than-human persons whose dimensional ecologies we also inhabit and embody?
And, what can we do, as embodied persons in a living cosmos, to creatively celebrate, recognise, re-member or repair these vital connections?

Our use of the term esoteric ecologies here, intends to both recognise and invite the exploration of praxis and perspectives on art, animism, botany, psychogeography, astrology, cosmogony, ritual, worship, creativity and healing. We also gladly welcome proposals that address the conference's themes beyond the topics stated.

~

We look forward to receiving proposals from any scholar, artist or esoteric practitioner who would like to explore these ideas with us.

As Conjuring Creativity is an interdisciplinary event, we are inviting proposals for papers, workshops, performances, artists talks, film screenings and other creative interventions. We intend to nurture a healthy horizontal cross pollination, through panels and individual themed discussions rather than having a hierarchical speaker line-up.

You* are warmly invited to send an abstract of no more than 300 words for a 20 or 40 minute talk,  and or a workshop or performance up to 60 minutes to us at conjuringcreativity@gmail.com

Please include a bio of no more than 111 words and a photo which represents yourself or your practice, which you are hapy to be included in our publicity.  This call out will close on Sunday 22nd September midnight uk time. Please feel free contact us through the email (no DM's) if you have an idea you would like to discuss prior to proposal.
